Facebook has a global error again, can't download Stories, view search engine

According to many Facebook users in Vietnam, this problem not only occurs on mobile applications, but also on the web version of one of the largest social networking platforms in the world today.

The “blank” status of cover photos, search history and friend status not showing started at around 10pm (Vietnam time) and by 11pm the problem had not been fixed. Data from Down Detector showed that within just 1 hour, there were more than 1,700 user reports of Facebook problems.

This is the second time this month that Facebook has experienced a widespread outage. Previously, on March 5, the social network experienced what the company said was a “technical error” that logged many user accounts out.

This is the second time this month that Meta's social media apps have experienced problems globally.

According to Daily Mail , not only Facebook but also other Meta messaging and social networking apps such as Instagram and Messenger are also experiencing problems worldwide, making it impossible for users to view news, post or contact friends.

According to Daily Mail , the incident occurred in the US, UK and several Asian countries.

DownDetector also reported errors from Messenger and then Instagram from many users, on the evening of March 20.

More than 60% reported apps not working properly, including 67% for Facebook, 61% for Messenger, and 66% for the Instagram app.

As for the Messenger bug, the app is showing users a message saying they are “unavailable to friends.” While some people say they can send messages, recipients are unable to reply.

Instagram users reported issues with comments, messaging, and News Feed.

Immediately after the incident, #Facebookdown and #Instgramdown became trending searches on social network X (formerly Twitter). Many users shared their frustration with Facebook, also to see if they were the only ones experiencing the problem.

Meta representatives have not yet made any announcement about the error of Facebook, Instagram and Messenger.
