Facebook users in some areas faced a serious technical issue where they were unable to view their own posts or those of others. This problem began on the morning of April 16th and had not been resolved by noon the same day.
According to feedback from many users, their posts and those of their friends are not showing up on their profiles. This is a negative experience, as many people think they may have been blocked by their friends.
"Initially, I thought I'd been blocked by friends on Facebook and couldn't see their posts, but after contacting them, I found out that everyone was experiencing the same problem," one social media user shared.
According to the statistics website Down Detector, between 9:59 AM and 12:00 PM on April 16th, there were nearly 600 reports of errors occurring on the Facebook social media platform. The majority of those reporting stated they were unable to view posts on their personal pages.
To date, Facebook has not released any statement regarding the specific cause or estimated time for resolving the issue. Reportedly, posts on the Newsfeed are still displaying normally.
This incident not only affected the user experience but also raised concerns about the system's reliability. Previously, on March 5th, Facebook experienced a global outage lasting approximately three hours, impacting hundreds of millions of users. This incident resulted in billions of dollars in losses for its parent company, Meta. Billionaire Mark Zuckerberg also saw a significant decline in his net worth following the incident.
