Florian Wirtz and Bayern Munich have reached a preliminary agreement, with a formal contract signing expected in the near future.
According to Bild, Bayern and Wirtz quickly finalized the terms of the contract, making it one of the most high-profile transfers in Bundesliga history.

Recently, Wirtz stated that he would not be renewing his contract with Leverkusen, and also wanted to "step out of his comfort zone" by taking on a challenge in a bigger environment.
Wirtz is reportedly not considering offers already on the table from European football giants like Real Madrid or Manchester City.
Instead, he was only interested in playing for Bayern Munich and becoming the leader of the new project at Allianz Arena, after the generation of Thomas Muller and Manuel Neuer left.
The agreement has two scenarios: one is for Wirtz to join this summer, which is the option preferred by both sides; the other is that the deal will be completed in 2026 if Leverkusen and Bayern cannot agree on a transfer fee.
In the second scenario, Bayern also received a commitment from Wirtz that he was willing to wait another year.
This allows the Bavarian club to negotiate a lower price than the expected €100 million, due to the risk of Wirtz becoming a free agent in 2027.
Furthermore, Sky Germany revealed that Wirtz will receive a salary of 20-25 million euros per season in his five-year contract with Bayern Munich. This figure far exceeds the offers from Manchester City or Real Madrid.
With this salary, Wirtz becomes a key player for the future of the Bavarian club, and is also among the highest-paid players on the team.
