The Vietnam National Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) recently signed a cooperation agreement withFPT Digital (FPT Group) on consulting and developing a digital transformation strategy. Attending the signing ceremony were, on the PVEP side, Mr. Nguyen Thien Bao - Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang - Member of the Board of Directors; and Mr. Hoang Ngoc Trung - Deputy General Director in charge of operations. Representing FPT were Mr. Hoang Viet Anh - Chairman of FPT Digital, Mr. Le Hung Cuong - Director of Digital Transformation at FPT Digital, and representatives from specialized departments of both sides. According to Mr. Hoang Ngoc Trung, Deputy General Director in charge of operations at PVEP, all specialized departments and divisions: economics and finance, investment, human resource management, etc., already have technical software. However, PVEP's leadership expects the system to be upgraded to enhance seamless connectivity between departments and units, facilitating faster access to digitized documents and improving work efficiency. To meet its stated aspirations and expectations, PVEP urgently needs a consulting and support unit with extensive practical experience and a successful track record of implementing numerous technology projects for leading domestic and international corporations and businesses, such as FPT Digital. Mr. Hoang Ngoc Trung believes that the signing of the cooperation agreement between the two parties will serve as a foundation for PVEP to develop a clear plan and roadmap for digital transformation, thereby achieving sustainable development and accompanying Petrovietnam and the country in entering a new era of national progress.

Representatives from PVEP and FPT signed a cooperation agreement on consulting services for building a digital transformation strategy at PVEP.

At the event, representatives from PVEP and FPT signed a cooperation agreement on consulting for the development of a digital transformation strategy at PVEP. Accordingly, the project will help PVEP optimize operations and business through digitalization; establish a flexible digital transformation management model; build a digital culture and innovative mindset; and develop a modern and secure IT system. Speaking at the ceremony, the Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of PVEP, Nguyen Thien Bao, affirmed that digital transformation is an inevitable and mandatory undertaking, and PVEP has actively implemented it in recent years. However, to meet the goals and requirements of accelerating digital transformation in the coming period, in addition to the consulting and support from FPT Digital, Mr. Nguyen Thien Bao requested all PVEP staff and employees to be highly determined and serious in implementing the digital transformation strategy, ensuring absolute progress in its development, thereby completing the digital ecosystem and contributing to PVEP's sustainable development.

The delegates took a commemorative photo.

According to FPT Digital Chairman Hoang Viet Anh, this close collaboration is proof of FPT's commitment to accompanying PVEP on its digital transformation journey. He believes that "With a vision for 2030, we will accompany PVEP to increase value, expand domestic and international operations, and continue to affirm its position in the oil and gas industry." The digital transformation project at PVEP is expected to be implemented within 6 months, with the highest level of commitment and determination from both sides in all aspects, from surveying and assessing the current state of digital capabilities, building a digital transformation roadmap for 2025-2030 to organizing training and building a digital culture capacity at PVEP.
