After graduating from university but failing to find a job related to his major, Mr. Do Khoi from Lien Hiep 10 village decided to return to his hometown to seek a new path. His concerns included not only job opportunities but also information about vocational training, startup support, and access to preferential loan sources. These needs are now more easily accessible through a social media fan page.
It is noteworthy that job opportunities are quite abundant locally. According to Mr. Nguyen Tien Quyen, Chairman of the Phu An Woodworking Village Association, the village currently has nearly 200 production households, creating jobs for thousands of workers. The income of unskilled laborers reaches 250,000 - 300,000 VND/day, while skilled workers earn 500,000 VND/day, with many positions offering even higher incomes. Meanwhile, garment factories in Tao village are also providing jobs for thousands of workers with incomes ranging from 9 to 12 million VND per month and still have regular recruitment needs.
However, a paradox has long existed in many localities: Businesses need workers but struggle to recruit, while workers lack information or don't know where to find opportunities. This gap makes the application of social media to connect labor supply and demand essential.
According to Tran Thi Van, Deputy Secretary of the Hat Mon Commune Youth Union, the "Hat Mon Commune Job Forum" Fanpage was created as an official information channel to update recruitment needs, share job opportunities, vocational training, overseas employment, and support young people in starting businesses. With just a smartphone, people can quickly access recruitment information without wasting time searching through multiple channels.
In the context of Hanoi's efforts to promote the development of digital government, digital economy , and digital society, community-level job fanpages like the one in Hat Mon are an innovative and effective approach, contributing to bringing digital transformation closer to daily life.
