Labor support: Reducing hardship and increasing solidarity.

In life, sharing and solidarity are always valuable values that should be preserved and promoted. In the rural areas of Thai Nguyen province, the practice of farmers' association members working together to support disadvantaged families has become a beautiful tradition, contributing to the spread of neighborly love and building a close-knit community.

Members of the Farmers' Association in Hop Thanh commune provided labor support to help member families alleviate difficulties during the rice harvest season.

In Hop Thanh commune, on May 24, 2026, the Farmers' Association branches of Tien Bo hamlet and Khuan Lan hamlet mobilized their members to assist Mr. Hoang Van Thi and Ms. Lieu Thi Viet in harvesting rice and dismantling their old house to prepare the land for building a new one. From early morning, a large number of members were present, some harvesting rice, some bundling rice, some transporting belongings, and some dismantling the old roof... creating a bustling yet heartfelt atmosphere of hard work.

In just one day, the members contributed a total of 76 man-hours of labor, helping the family alleviate many difficulties regarding manpower and labor costs. Sharing his emotions, Mr. Hoang Van Thi said: "My family is still facing many difficulties, and we have limited manpower, so harvesting the rice and preparing for the new house is very hard work. I am truly touched and grateful for the help from the community and members like this. This is a great source of encouragement for my family to strive to improve our lives."

According to Mr. Ma Quoc Hieu, Chairman of the Farmers' Association of Hop Thanh commune, the movement of members helping each other has been actively supported by 100% of the branches. When a member at the grassroots level falls ill, has a family with few members, or faces difficult circumstances, the branches will quickly inform and mobilize members to arrange time to participate in providing support.

The labor support program not only helps members alleviate difficulties but also contributes to strengthening solidarity and cohesion within the Association. Through this, people gain more trust and actively participate in emulation movements, production development, and the construction of new rural areas.

According to the results of the 2026 spring crop production, the total area of rice planted in the province is estimated at 36,870 hectares, equivalent to 98.8% of the plan; the area of corn planted reached approximately 11,360 hectares, equivalent to 79.3% of the plan; and the area of vegetables and other crops reached approximately 6,537 hectares, equivalent to 104.8% of the spring crop plan. These figures demonstrate the great efforts of farmers in agricultural production, contributing to ensuring food security and developing the local agricultural economy .

Along with the task of developing production, the Farmers' Associations at all levels in the province also pay special attention to caring for the lives of their members, especially poor households, near-poor households, and members with difficult circumstances. Currently, the total number of farmers' association members in the province reaches 199,338. In the first quarter of 2026, the Farmers' Associations at all levels organized visits and provided support totaling 4,429 man-days to 2,359 member households in difficult circumstances, with a total support value of over 1.365 billion VND.

Ms. Hoang Thi Tan, a farmer association member in Phong Quang commune, said: "When we receive a notification that a member needs help, we are ready to participate in order to help them overcome difficulties. Only in this way can the movement and association activities develop sustainably."

Ms. Dong Thi Diem, Chairwoman of the Farmers' Association of Ngan Son commune, shared: "The activities of providing labor support have helped many members overcome immediate difficulties, while also creating a sense of unity among members within the Association. We hope to continue to replicate these meaningful models and practices so that the spirit of solidarity and sharing will spread even more widely in the community."

Images of villagers working together in the fields to harvest rice, dismantle houses, or support needy members always evoke beautiful feelings of community spirit and neighborly love. This is not only a beautiful cultural aspect of rural life but also a source of motivation for many families, giving them more faith and determination to improve their lives.

Each of these simple yet meaningful actions contributes to enhancing the image of farmers in the new era: united, responsible, and always ready to share with the community. We believe that, with this spirit of compassion, the Farmers' Association movement will continue to develop extensively, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous, beautiful, and civilized homeland.
