Samsung has a habit of introducing groundbreaking features to its products but then abandoning them after a while. However, a source has just revealed that Samsung's upcoming flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra will have a feature that previously appeared on the Galaxy S9 series.

Previously, this feature was introduced on the Galaxy S9 and S9+. These phones could switch between f/1.5 and f/2.4, depending on the ambient light. Choosing the f/1.5 aperture setting allows more light in. The f/2.4 aperture would be ideal in daylight conditions when there is no lack of light or when you need a wider field of focus.
This dual-aperture feature was also present on the Galaxy S10 series, but Samsung removed it when launching the S20 series. And it seems the company is now planning to bring variable aperture to the Galaxy S26 series.
According to a source on X, Samsung wants to use an under-display camera for its next flagship model. Currently, this technology is also featured on the Galaxy Z Fold series, and users can expect improved quality on the next-generation Galaxy S Ultra.
Previously, there were rumors that the Galaxy S26 Ultra might be called the Galaxy S26 Note. Additionally, sources indicated the device would have a brighter and more efficient display than its predecessor, along with a 200MP periscope telephoto camera and an Exynos chipset.
