In order to promote the emulation movement of learning and self-training in English, improve the ability to use foreign languages, especially communication and presentation skills in English for students, the Center for Youth Science and Technology Development in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Council, the Vietnam-USA Association International Joint Stock Company organized the 2nd English Talent Contest.
During the first week of the exam (from June 26 to July 1), the contest attracted nearly 10,000 students to take the exam.
Candidates participate in presentations at the 1st English Talent Competition 2022
Participants are team members and children in Ho Chi Minh City who can compete individually, divided into 2 groups: Group A for Primary School, Group B for Secondary School.
The Preliminary Round consists of 3 weeks of testing. Each week consists of 20 reading questions and 5 listening questions.
Candidates have 15 minutes to complete their test. After the online preliminary round, the Organizing Committee will select 50 candidates from each group with the highest results each week to enter the Semi-finals.
In addition to the awards in each category, this year, the Organizing Committee will select the 5 most impressive videos to reward.
Outstanding candidates entering the final round will have time to prepare a mind map on the content: introducing themselves and presenting their thoughts and proposing solutions to promote and introduce historical sites, relics, and activities with historical and cultural values of Ho Chi Minh City to friends at home and abroad.
