BTO-On October 6, in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Nguyen Nam Long - Vice Chairman of Phan Thiet City People's Committee ( Binh Thuan ) and the Organizing Committee held a press conference to officially announce the race "Phan Thiet Marathon 2023 - Green Journey".
This is a sports tournament in response to the 2023 National Tourism Year "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence", the first time Phan Thiet City People's Committee organized it with the coordinating unit Stop And Sports.
At the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Nam Long also said that up to now, there are nearly 4,000 athletes participating, the official tournament will take place on October 22, 2023, including competition distances of 5KM - 10KM - 21KM - 42KM. Athletes will be able to walk on the Phan Thiet - Mui Ne route, have the opportunity to feel the peaceful life in Mui Ne fishing village and experience the unique cuisine of Binh Thuan. This will be an ideal opportunity for athletes to relax and have fun right in the middle of the resort capital, while learning more about Binh Thuan through culture, cuisine and diverse experience services.
The jersey and medal of the tournament are inspired by the Phan Thiet Water Tower, the symbol of the city, combined with typical images of a coastal land such as coconut trees, nets and fish. All have created a design with a strong local mark.
The starting and finishing locations are located at Mui Ne Summerland Urban Tourism and Entertainment Complex on Vo Nguyen Giap Street - one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Phan Thiet city, to create the most convenience for participating athletes.
Not just a simple sports tournament, the tournament organizers also cooperated with ENJOY SPORT to carry out the campaign "Run with your smile" to raise funds for Operation Smile - Smile Surgery Organization to make the tournament more humane.
With this program, athletes can still upload photos as usual, including 2 high-quality photos without Watermark. However, in the spirit of contributing to the community and sharing with less fortunate children, athletes can support by choosing the 99,000 VND photo combo package to download all high-quality photos without Watermark. After deducting 30% of the operating costs for ENJOY SPORT, the remaining amount will be donated to the Operation Smile fund to perform free surgeries for less fortunate children born with cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities in developing countries, including Vietnam.
