Nearly 81% of Russians trust President Putin.

(CLO) The approval rating of Russian citizens for President Vladimir Putin has reached 80.8%, according to a new survey published by the Russian Center for Public Opinion Research (VCIOM).

The survey was conducted among 1,600 adult Russian citizens between December 15 and 21. The report indicates that 80.8% of respondents gave a positive response when asked about their trust in Putin, a decrease of 0.6 percentage points compared to the previous survey. The percentage of respondents who rated the President's performance positively was 77%, a decrease of 0.9 percentage points.

The performance of the Russian government received support from 49.5% of survey participants, an increase of 1.2 percentage points. Meanwhile, the work of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin was approved by 50.7% of respondents, an increase of 0.3 percentage points. The percentage of people expressing confidence in Mishustin reached 60%, a slight decrease of 0.2 percentage points.

The survey also noted the level of trust in party leaders in the Russian Parliament . Accordingly, 35% of respondents said they trusted the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, Gennady Zyuganov, an increase of 2.2 percentage points.

The approval rating for Sergey Mironov, leader of the Just Russia for Truth party, reached 30.7%, an increase of 0.8 percentage points. Leonid Slutsky, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, received a 22.6% approval rating, an increase of 1.7 percentage points. Meanwhile, Alexey Nechayev, chairman of the New People's Party, was trusted by 8.6% of respondents, a decrease of 1.1 percentage points.

Regarding support for political parties, the United Russia party achieved 35.2%, a decrease of 0.8 percentage points. The Communist Party of Russia received 8.8% support, a decrease of 0.3 percentage points. The Liberal Democratic Party reached 10.7%, an increase of 0.5 percentage points. The Just Russia for Truth party remained unchanged at 5.4%, while the New People's Party achieved 7.7%, a decrease of 0.5 percentage points.
