On October 5th, according to information from the People's Committee of Co To Island District, Quang Ninh Province, the locality unveiled commemorative plaques celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh Province (October 30, 1963 - October 30, 2023) at three projects with a total investment of nearly 230 billion VND.
Specifically, the Pine Park project at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial National Special Monument on Co To Island covers nearly 2.2 hectares and includes roads, sidewalks, playgrounds, a landscaped lake, gazebos, fountains, and a system of trees, with an investment of over 33.5 billion VND. From 2021 to the present, people and agencies and units inside and outside Quang Ninh province have donated nearly 200 large and beautiful pine trees to the park.
The newly completed road project in Co To town, Co To island district, Quang Ninh province, with a total investment of 180 billion VND, helps to improve the transportation system on the island, creating favorable conditions for local people and tourists.
The road project in Nam Dong village, Dong Tien commune, Co To island district, Quang Ninh province, was constructed with a total length of nearly 1 km and a total investment of over 13 billion VND, contributing to Dong Tien commune's achievement of the new rural development goals.
In addition to the three projects mentioned above, Co To island district proposed that Quang Ninh province place a commemorative plaque for the Truc Lam Pagoda in Tran village, Thanh Lan commune, to celebrate the province's founding anniversary. Construction began in October 2022 and is expected to be completed on October 21, 2023, covering nearly 3 hectares and funded through social contributions.
Earlier, on October 4th, the People's Committee of Ba Che District, Quang Ninh Province, held a ceremony to unveil plaques for four projects with a total investment of over 300 billion VND to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of Quang Ninh Province.
