(NLĐO) - The Spring Planting Program Season 2 is an annual event aimed at strengthening family bonds and building a future for children, involving many meaningful and humane activities.

On January 12th, the Kim Oanh Group's "Starting with Heart" Foundation organized the second "Sowing Spring" program, for approximately 100 orphaned children from 56 foster families participating in the "Becoming Parents Together" project.

The Spring Seed Program Season 2 not only created a warm and festive atmosphere for the 2025 Lunar New Year but also affirmed that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves to receive love and care in a nurturing family environment. In particular, the program also fostered sharing and connection among the community, organizations, and families caring for orphaned children.

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Phu Duc, Director of the Kim Oanh Charitable Foundation, shared that the foundation was established and developed by the Kim Oanh family with the desire to bring love and care to children in all circumstances. After more than 20 years of Kim Oanh Group's presence in the South, he affirmed that charitable values ​​have always been a mission alongside their business activities.

"Witnessing many heartbreaking situations such as children losing their future due to breaking the law, losing loved ones due to COVID-19, living through natural disasters like storms and floods, being unable to attend school due to hardship, or the sudden death of their parents... the Starting from the Heart Foundation is even more determined on this journey."

"The project initially faced difficulties as the children had just experienced major trauma and were living in an environment lacking understanding. But over the years, joy and positive change have become evident on the faces of the children and their caregivers, giving us great motivation," said the Director of the Heartfelt Startup Foundation.

Here, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education , Ta Van Ha, expressed his emotion and joy at attending the program. He emphasized that children account for 26% of the population, with 2 million living in difficult circumstances. Vietnam is proud to be the first country in Asia and the second in the world to ratify the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, demonstrating the special attention of the Party and State to the younger generation.

The Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education highly appreciated the "Together as Parents" project for its practical support for orphans, seriously ill children, and children who have violated the law, and hoped that the project would expand its scale to help more disadvantaged children in localities across the country.

Having joined the "Together as Parents" project after her husband passed away from COVID-19, raising two sons alone, Ms. Nguyen Le Thi emotionally shared that the project has organized many meaningful activities that have helped her children become more confident and sociable, and especially helped her and her children bond. "When my husband died, I was afraid my children would be sad and fall into depression. Since participating in the project, the two children have gradually opened up, made friends, played, and this has somewhat eased their pain. The project has also supported the family in overcoming difficulties, covering living expenses, and helping the two children continue their education. I am extremely grateful," Ms. Thi expressed.

Through the Spring Planting Program Season 2, the Parenting Together project also calls for the community's support for orphaned children and families in difficult circumstances. This is also an important milestone for the project as it marks the signing of cooperation agreements with the Women's Union of Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces.

This collaboration aims to optimize community resources to ensure orphans receive comprehensive care and development within the framework of family and kinship.

On this occasion, the "Together We Raise Parents" project also awarded 72 financial support grants for the first quarter of 2025 (each worth 3 million VND) to children.

After two years of implementation, the project has organized many meaningful activities aimed at improving the quality of life for children and their foster families. Summer classes, life skills training courses, and outdoor and physical activities have created an environment for learning and fostering family bonds.

The "Together as Parents" project awarded 72 financial support grants in the first quarter of 2025 (each worth 3 million VND) to children and Tet gifts to families participating in the project.

These programs not only provide orphaned children with enriching experiences but also help caregivers improve their awareness and positive parenting skills, thereby creating a safe and happy care environment.

In 2024, the project brought about positive changes in the relationship between children and their caregivers, contributing to reduced psychological stress and improved morale for both sides.

Within the framework of the Spring Planting Program Season 2, many outstanding activities took place, such as lion dances, folk games, and cultural experiences of Southern Vietnamese Tet (from making banh tet to singing, chanting, traditional music, calligraphy, and enjoying traditional cuisine...), contributing to recreating the atmosphere of traditional Tet, while also creating opportunities for bonding between children, families, and the community.

Many outstanding activities at the Spring Planting program season 2:

The children, holding sheets of paper with song lyrics, were guided by artists in singing various songs, from folk chants and traditional melodies to traditional Southern Vietnamese opera.

At the Spring Planting program season 2, many young people were guided on how to wrap banh tet (Vietnamese sticky rice cake).

Children and young people make crafts, create animal figures, etc.

Many traditional folk games were organized as part of the program.

Young people came to participate in the program and view the art exhibition about meaningful charitable projects.

The calligraphy activity attracts many people who come to watch and request meaningful messages for the Lunar New Year.

The program organized many meaningful and humane fundraising activities.

The "Together as Parents" project is directly supporting 72 children and 56 families in three localities: Thuan An (Binh Duong), Bien Hoa (Dong Nai), and Ho Chi Minh City, with a total budget of nearly 2 billion VND for the period 2022-2024.

According to the plan, during the period 2025-2030, the project will focus on the program "Action for the comprehensive development of children in special circumstances based on family and kinship," with activities related to education, health, family capacity building, and encouraging community participation.

In 2025, the project aims to support 200 orphans in Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Ho Chi Minh City with a total budget of over 3 billion VND. The project also aims to support 1,000 children by 2030, helping to refine and expand the project model to other provinces and cities for sustainable support of orphans.
