Garmin has launched the Garmin Forerunner 70 Watch and Garmin Forerunner 170 Watch, two new smart GPS running watches designed for beginner runners or those looking to improve their daily training.
Featuring a sharp 1.2-inch AMOLED touchscreen, an intuitive interface, and a familiar five-button physical design, the new duo offers an easy-to-use experience right from the first run. The devices also come equipped with a variety of workout and health tracking tools, along with long-lasting battery life, helping users maintain an active lifestyle without needing to recharge daily.
Designed for runners of all levels, the Garmin Forerunner 70 Watch helps users build training habits in a more intuitive and accessible way. The device boasts a battery life of up to 13 days in smartwatch mode.
The Garmin Forerunner 70 Watch offers essential features: built-in GPS, supporting tracking of time, distance, pace, and heart rate on the wrist. In addition, the new Quick Workouts feature allows users to quickly perform workouts tailored to their fitness level with just a few simple steps, based on desired duration and intensity. The Garmin Coach virtual trainer is personalized daily based on health and recovery data. Besides intensive workouts, Garmin Run Coach also includes run and walk training plans with lower intensity, suitable for beginners.

Furthermore, this product supports daily suggested workouts with adjusted running/walking suggestions after each workout to better suit the user's performance and recovery status. It also integrates many advanced training features developed by Garmin Human Performance Lab, such as Training Readiness, Training Status, Running Power, and Running Dynamics. Users can also maintain an active lifestyle with over 80 integrated sports activities such as swimming, cycling, strength training, and many other forms of exercise.
The Forerunner 70 also supports 24/7 health and fitness tracking through features such as: Advanced sleep tracking, Sleep Coach, respiratory variability, HRV (heart rate variability), Pulse Ox (blood oxygen saturation), Lifestyle Logging, and Health Status. The watch also supports smart connectivity features such as phone notifications, LiveTrack, and safety and fitness tracking tools.
The Forerunner 170, on the other hand, is an upgrade in connectivity and entertainment experience. Inheriting all the features of the Forerunner 70, the Forerunner 170 adds Garmin Pay, allowing contactless payments directly on the watch through compatible banks. Users can easily purchase water or snacks during workouts without needing to carry a wallet or phone.

For music lovers, the Forerunner 170 Music version supports downloading playlists, podcasts, or songs directly to the watch for independent listening via wireless headphones without needing to connect to a phone.
The Garmin Forerunner 70 Watch will be available in Vietnam in six color options: black, white, lime green, cool purple, light pink, and dark blue, with a suggested retail price of VND 7,190,000. Meanwhile, the Garmin Forerunner 170 Watch comes in two color options, black and white, priced at VND 8,690,000; the Garmin Forerunner 170 Music Watch adds blue and red-pink options, with a suggested retail price of VND 10,290,000.
