The clean agriculture movement is spreading in Ia Phi and Ia Ly communes (Gia Lai), attracting both Kinh people and ethnic minorities to participate. One of the bright spots is the organic coffee growing model of Mr. Siu Sat and Ms. Ro Cham Awưnh in Mrong Yo 1 village.
Both former teachers, they decided to switch to sustainable agriculture after noticing that the land was infertile and the coffee garden was exhausted due to the overuse of chemical fertilizers. Since 2019, the family has boldly converted 2 hectares of coffee to organic farming, using manure and biological products instead of chemicals. Thanks to their perseverance, the coffee garden quickly revived, the trees were healthy, the fruit was abundant, the quality increased significantly, becoming a model for many Jrai households to learn.
