While Robusta coffee prices continued to fall, Arabica coffee prices continued to rise. At the end of the last trading week of June, Arabica coffee prices had increased by more than 220 cents/lb.

In Brazil, the price of Arabica coffee for July delivery rose by $20.9 to $6,325 per ton, while the September contract fell by $3.3 to $6,234 per ton, and the December contract decreased by $12.1 to $5,934 per ton.

The 5.87% depreciation of the Brazilian currency against the US dollar in June, along with concerns about declining Brazilian coffee production, has prompted roasters to increase stockpiling, driving up Arabica coffee prices despite being in the peak harvest season.

Brazil's coffee harvest is also faster than usual, boosting coffee supply and driving prices down after Safras & Mercado Group reported on Friday that Brazil's 2024/25 coffee harvest was 50% complete as of June 25, faster than the 45% completion at the same time last year and faster than the five-year average of 47%.
