While Robusta coffee prices continue to fall, Arabica coffee prices continue to rise. At the end of the last trading week of June, Arabica coffee prices increased by more than 220 cents/lb.

In Brazil, the price of Arabica coffee futures for July delivery increased by 20.9 USD to 6,325 USD/ton, while the price of September delivery decreased by 3.3 USD to 6,234 USD/ton, and the price of December delivery decreased by 12.1 USD to 5,934 USD/ton.

The Brazilian currency depreciated by 5.87% in June against the US dollar, as well as concerns about a decline in Brazilian coffee production, causing roasters to increase purchases and reserves, helping Arabica coffee prices continue to rise despite the peak harvest season.

Brazil’s coffee harvest is also faster than usual, boosting coffee supplies and sending prices lower after Safras & Mercado Group reported on Friday that Brazil’s 2024/25 coffee harvest was 50% complete as of June 25, faster than the 45% completion at the same time last year and ahead of the five-year average of 47%.
