The report at the conference said: In the first 3 months of 2024, the Association at all levels from the provincial to the grassroots level has promoted its core role in humanitarian activities; focused on organizing and effectively implementing humanitarian and charitable movements and campaigns; providing timely relief and assistance to people in especially difficult circumstances, the poor, and vulnerable groups in society.

Accordingly, the "Compassionate Tet" movement supported 52,102 people, with a value of 21.4 billion VND (units exceeded the province's assigned targets such as: Chu Prong district exceeded 450%; Mang Yang exceeded 334%; Phu Thien exceeded 288%; Kong Chro exceeded 274%; Chu Pah exceeded 260%; Ia Grai exceeded 256.3%; Chu Pah exceeded 237.2% and Pleiku City exceeded 221.2%). The campaign "Each organization, each individual is associated with a humanitarian address" has helped disadvantaged people in many forms such as: regular support for 485 humanitarian addresses, updating 160 addresses on the Inhandao system, visiting and supporting a family whose house burned down in Mang Yang district, donating a breeding cow in Phu Thien district and giving VinGroup scholarships to 81 disadvantaged students in the province; organizing medical examinations and providing free medicine to 1,570 people; giving 347 health insurance cards to disadvantaged people in Dak Po district, giving 285 cartons of liquid milk and 122 cans of powdered milk in the program "Nutrition for poor and disabled children"; giving 21,885 gifts and providing 5,550 humanitarian meals; At the same time, in coordination with Minh Anh Clean Water Technology Research Institute Company Limited (Ninh Binh province), 256 water purifiers were donated to the Gia Lai Provincial Red Cross Society at all levels. In the first 3 months of the year, 25 voluntary blood donation campaigns were organized, resulting in 5,033 units of safe blood being collected, reaching over 31% of the 2024 plan.
The total value of activities in the first 3 months of the year reached 33.5 billion VND, an increase of 3.4 billion VND compared to the humanitarian value in the same period in 2023.
In the coming time, the Association at all levels will continue to promote the dissemination of humanitarian values, implement the Resolution of the 11th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (term 2022-2027) and the Resolution of the 7th Congress (term 2021-2026), organize activities and emulation movements to achieve achievements to celebrate major holidays of the country and the Association; continue to mobilize cadres, members and people to carry out the movement "Good people, good deeds - Joining hands to build a compassionate community", and at the same time orient key work contents in the second quarter of 2024.
