More energy, more faith

For a long time, the road leading to Sung Le Kep village (Ia Dok commune) has become familiar to the officers and soldiers of Company 72 (Army Corps 15). Here, they have a special adopted child, Kpuih H'Lang (4th grade student, Tran Phu Primary School, Ia Dom commune).

In 2019, Kpuih Xanh - Kpuih H'Lang's father passed away from a serious illness; a year later, his wife also left her hometown to work far away, then started a new family, leaving behind two young children, Kpuih H'Lang and Kpuih Xin. His older brother Kpuih Nhi (with a wife and two young children) brought his two younger siblings to live with him, but the family's difficult circumstances became even more difficult, so Kpuih H'Lang's path to school seemed to have to stop.

Understanding that situation, the leaders of 72 One Member Co., Ltd. adopted Kpuih H'Lang as their adopted son, giving him the strength to go to school. Each school year, Kpuih H'Lang receives support of 23.9 million VND to buy supplies, vehicles, books, and monthly meals. The company's leaders regularly send officers and employees to visit, encourage, and coordinate with teachers to grasp Kpuih H'Lang's learning situation. From that companionship, Kpuih H'Lang maintains his passion for learning and achieves good student results in the 2024-2025 school year.

Mr. Hoang Danh Long, Principal of Tran Phu Primary School, said that because it is a border area, students have many difficulties, especially ethnic minority students. Currently, the school has nearly 40 students who are adopted and sponsored by military units stationed in the area.

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Xuan Tri, Director of 72 One Member Company Limited, shared: Implementing the project "Officers and soldiers help children go to school", up to now, the unit has adopted 8 disadvantaged students in the border area and supported 25 children in difficult circumstances. We have chosen children in difficult circumstances to accompany and encourage them to go to school.

Nurturing green shoots

For the past 3 years, Ro Mah Thuyen (in Dang village, Ia O commune) - a student at A Sanh High School, has been supported with tuition fees by Branch 75 of Army Corps 15. “Both of my parents are ethnic minorities, living in difficult circumstances, many times I wanted to drop out of school to help my family. In recent years, Branch 75 has supported me with food, bicycles, clothes, school supplies and regular encouragement, so I feel secure going to class. I will try my best to study well to become a useful person for my homeland, contributing to building an increasingly prosperous border,” Ro Mah Thuyen shared.

Through the project "Officers and soldiers help children go to school", from 2022 to present, units of the 15th Army Corps have adopted and supported 505 students in difficult circumstances in the border areas of the three provinces of Gia Lai, Kon Tum, and Quang Binh (old) with an amount of 7 billion VND. Colonel Khuat Ba Cao - Party Secretary, Deputy Commander of the 15th Army Corps, said: The support and gifts from the project, although not much in material value, are a "bridge" to strengthen the solidarity between the army and the people, together building and developing new rural areas, maintaining political security, order, and social safety in the border areas. At the same time, spreading love, encouragement, and giving wings to dreams for students in difficult circumstances to excel in their studies, becoming useful people for society.

Colonel Vo Son Anh, Political Commissar of Division 320 (Army Corps 34), said: We are currently adopting and supporting 71 ethnic minority students in 3 border communes (Ia Dom, Ia Nan, Ia Pnôn) with a support level of 23.9 million VND/student to buy school supplies, textbooks, and cover essential needs. In 2025 alone, we gave gifts, school supplies, and supported meals with a total budget of nearly 1.7 billion VND.

To give more strength to students in difficult circumstances, Border Guard Stations in 7 border communes have sponsored 193 students from grades 1 to 12. In addition, from 2013 to present, Border Guard Station of Le Thanh International Border Gate has maintained a charity kitchen model to organize lunch and arrange lunch accommodation for 12 students at the local working team in Ia Dom commune so that they can conveniently go to class.
