The exhibition is one of the major and key activities organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam).
This is a cultural and artistic political activity containing many messages sent to all classes of people in the country, overseas Vietnamese and many international friends and tourists about the great achievements of great historical significance in the construction and development of the country's economy , culture, society, national defense, security and foreign affairs over the past 80 years.
From there, it contributes to educating and promoting the tradition of patriotism, belief in the innovation cause of the Party and State, at the same time arousing pride in historical and revolutionary traditions; fostering and enhancing the obligations and responsibilities of all classes of people, especially the young generation in the new period.
Accordingly, Son La province participated in the exhibition with the theme "Son La - Historical imprints, cultural colors and development aspirations" to affirm and honor the achievements of the people of all ethnic groups in Son La province in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland, especially the achievements in the cause of national renewal and international integration.
With an exhibition space consisting of 3 parts: Part 1: "Son La - Historical imprints"; Part 2: "Son La - Cultural colors"; Part 3: "Son La - Bright future" affirms the role, position and great contributions of Son La province in the historical process of revolution, innovation and international integration. At the same time, promote and introduce the potentials and strengths of economic, cultural and tourism development of Son La province today.
The exhibition spaces focus on introducing and promoting the image of Son La land and people during the resistance war years and during the period of innovation, development and integration with outstanding achievements in economic, political, cultural, sports and tourism development, national defense and security, tourism products, safe agricultural products, and OCOP products of Son La province.
Recreated with documentary images, artifacts and multimedia products - showing the 80-year journey of fighting, building and defending the Fatherland of the army and people of all ethnic groups in Son La under the leadership of the Party.
Outstanding is the resilient and indomitable revolutionary fighting spirit of the people of all ethnic groups in Son La province in the struggle for national liberation and independence in 1945.
And the economic, cultural, social, defense, security and foreign affairs achievements of Son La province during 80 years of construction, protection and development accompanying the country.
Especially, it is a space to promote the potentials and strengths of Son La province in the period of national renewal and international integration such as: potential for developing agricultural processing products, OCOP products; potential for tourism development with key tourist areas such as Moc Chau National Tourist Area, Ta Xua - Bac Yen Tourist Area, Son La Hydropower Reservoir Area Tourist Area...
In addition, the unique traditional cultural exchange space of Son La province's ethnic groups with the participation of artisans and mass actors at the exhibition will contribute to giving domestic and international visitors the opportunity to experience and learn about traditional crafts, Thai Xoe art, Mong Khen dance, Thai ethnic cuisine...
