Dunamu Group is the operator of the largest centralized crypto asset exchange in Korea, ranked 3rd in the world , accounting for about 80% of the market share in Korea, with 6 million customers, a trading volume of over 1,100 billion USD in 2024, and managing more than 80 billion USD in digital assets. Meanwhile, Hana Group is a long-term strategic partner of the Military Bank (MB), with great financial potential and the ability to deploy international financial technology.
At the meeting, Mr. Kim Hyoung-nyon introduced Dunamu Group; shared some international experiences in state management in the field of crypto assets; expressed his desire to invest in Vietnam, especially in the field of crypto assets and promote cooperation with Vietnamese partners, including MB.
Both groups consider Vietnam a strategic market with great growth potential, and will leverage their strengths in technology and digitalization experience to support Vietnamese partners and enhance their competitiveness in the digital age.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the financial and technological capacity of Dunamu Group, welcomed the fact that Dunamu Group is researching investment and development in Vietnam, especially in the field of digital assets and crypto assets; and highly appreciated the contribution of Hana Group to Vietnam's economic development as an important partner of MB.
Informing that the Vietnamese Government is building a legal framework and piloting the crypto-asset market in Vietnam in the coming time, the Prime Minister welcomed Dunamu Group to proactively cooperate with domestic agencies and organizations to share experiences, cooperate in building and perfecting the legal corridor, training human resources, building infrastructure, transferring technology, operating crypto-asset exchanges, with the goal of being able to manage, including tax management, but also promoting development.
Encouraging Dunamu and Hana Groups to expand their investment in Vietnam, the Prime Minister said that MB is a prestigious bank in Vietnam and suggested that MB and the two groups cooperate closely and effectively, contributing to promoting the Vietnam - Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Finance, as the focal point for developing the Resolution on piloting the crypto-asset market in Vietnam, to continue coordinating with the State Bank of Vietnam and relevant ministries, agencies and localities to support Dunamu Group in the process of researching and studying investment in the field of digital assets and crypto-assets in Vietnam.
Mr. Kim Hyoung-nyon affirmed that Dunamu Group is committed to sharing experiences and actively cooperating with Vietnam in the field of digital currency and crypto assets as directed by the Prime Minister, providing the best solutions and services, ensuring safety and transparency, thereby attracting Vietnamese and international investors.
