Gia Lai streamlines its protective forest management apparatus.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Gia Lai province has just issued Decision No. 2144/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Gia Lai Protective Forest Management Board based on the merger of 29 existing protective forest management boards, aiming to streamline the organizational structure and improve the efficiency of forest management and protection.

The Gia Lai Protective Forest Management Board is a public service unit under the Department of Agriculture and Environment, with legal personality, its own seal, and separate bank account as prescribed by law.
The merger aims to implement the policy of streamlining the organizational structure and simultaneously improve the efficiency of the forest management and protection system in the province.

Accordingly, the list of merged units includes 29 forest protection management boards in various localities such as: North Ia Grai, Ia Ly, Ia Púch, Ia Mơr, Chư Sê, Mang Yang, Đak Đoa, Đức Cơ, along with coastal and midland areas of Binh Dinh such as Hoai Nhon, Phu My, Phu Cat, Tay Son, Van Canh, Vinh Thanh, An Lao, Hoai An…
The People's Committee of Gia Lai province has instructed the Department of Agriculture and Environment to complete the transfer of all assets, finances, organizational structure, personnel, and related rights and obligations to the new unit within 30 days from the effective date of the decision; and to terminate the operations of the old management boards.
The Department of Agriculture and Environment is also responsible for guiding the Gia Lai Protective Forest Management Board in developing a job position plan, consolidating the organization, and assigning appropriate personnel to ensure effective operation and meet the requirements of forest management, protection, and development in the new situation.
