On the afternoon of August 29th, the "Delicious Dishes from the Basalt Land and the Sea" food festival, showcasing OCOP products, traditional crafts, and the Gia Lai province's coffee and gong culture festival, took place at the Children's Park on An Duong Vuong Street.
At the main stage in the Children's Park, Quy Nhon Nam ward, chefs from Ho Chi Minh City performed the butchering and filleting of a 53kg tuna right in front of hundreds of spectators.

Using these fresh and delicious ingredients, local chefs, along with experts from Japan, Thailand, and Australia, have created a series of unique dishes, combining Asian, European, and Vietnamese flavors.
Novel dishes such as tuna sticky rice, tuna pancakes, tuna and macadamia nut porridge, European-style grilled tuna, or spicy Thai-style curry have provided an exciting experience for diners.
On the very first day, thousands of visitors enjoyed dishes made from tuna; approximately 5,000 free meals are expected to be served throughout the three days of the festival, offering the opportunity to fully experience the taste of the sea amidst the vast Tây Nguyên (Central Highlands) region.

Ms. Huynh Thi Xuan, a visitor attending the festival, happily said: "I find it very unique and delicious; I've never eaten anything like this before. I used to only think of tuna in soups or stews, but now they're making tuna pancakes and porridge with it. I've learned a lot from this festival."
Along with the tuna culinary space, the festival is also vibrant with activities such as "Delicious Dishes from Land and Sea," the Gia Lai Gong and Drum Culture Festival, the display of OCOP products and traditional crafts, and music, comedy, and circus performances… creating a colorful tapestry of Quy Nhon's coastal culture.
