In the rice market, today's prices increased slightly for some items compared to yesterday, IR 50404 price fluctuated around 6,800 - 7,000 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice was at 7,000 - 7,300 VND/kg; OM 5451 rice was at 6,900 - 7,100 VND/kg, an increase of 100 VND/kg; OM 18 rice was at 7,200 - 7,300 VND/kg; OM 380 fluctuated from 6,800 - 7,000 VND/kg; Nhat rice was at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa 9 was at 6,900 - 7,000 VND/kg, and Nang Nhen rice (dry) was at 20,000 VND/kg.

Accordingly, the glutinous rice market recorded an adjustment compared to yesterday. Long An glutinous rice (dried) 7,000 - 7,900 VND/kg, stable compared to yesterday. IR 4625 glutinous rice (fresh) 7,300 - 7,400 VND/kg. Long An glutinous rice (fresh) 7,400 - 7,600 VND/kg. CK 2003 glutinous rice (fresh) 7,000 - 7,200 VND/kg, down 100 VND/kg compared to yesterday.

Regarding rice, rice prices remained stable compared to yesterday. Specifically, IR 504 summer-autumn raw rice was at 10,700-10,800 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice remained at 12,500-12,600 VND/kg.

By-products today recorded no adjustment compared to yesterday. Currently, the price of IR 504 rice bran is at 8,600 - 8,700 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the price of dry bran is at 7,100 - 7,250 VND/kg.

Rice market in localities in the Mekong Delta today is generally slow, prices increased slightly, factories stopped buying last week waiting to sell.

Specifically, in An Cu, the quantity is not much, the price increased slightly, the warehouse bought regularly. In Sa Dec ( Dong Thap ), the quality of rice is low, the warehouse bought little, the price increased slightly.

At retail markets, rice prices have not been adjusted for individual rice products. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND30,000/kg; Jasmine rice is VND18,000 - VND20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice is VND20,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates around VND15,000 - VND16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice is VND20,000 - VND21,000/kg; Huong jasmine rice is VND20,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is VND21,000/kg; common white rice is VND17,000/kg; regular Soc rice is VND18,500/kg; Thai Soc rice is VND20,000/kg; Japanese rice is VND22,000/kg.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices recorded no adjustment compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice was at 448 USD; 5% broken standard rice remained at 559 USD/ton; 25% broken rice was at 535 USD/ton.

Adjusting the export price of rice at this time helps businesses to be more proactive and easily purchase rice. Forecasts show that rice prices will recover in the coming time when the demand for imported rice at the end of the year often increases from traditional customers of Vietnam.

As of early July, localities had harvested nearly 390,000 hectares out of a total of more than 1.4 million hectares of summer-autumn crop, with an estimated yield of 6.2 tons/hectare. This abundant supply will be a strong driving force for rice exports in the coming time.

According to the General Statistics Office, in the first 6 months of this year, Vietnam exported more than 4.5 million tons of rice, reaching a turnover of nearly 3 billion USD. Compared to the same period last year, rice exports increased by more than 10% in volume and 32% in value. Many businesses believe that rice exports will continue to grow steadily until the end of the year.
