On the export market, Vietnamese rice export prices remained unchanged compared to yesterday. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice was priced at US$448; standard 5% broken rice remained stable at US$559/ton; and 25% broken rice was priced at US$535/ton.

Adjusting export rice prices at this time allows businesses to be more proactive and makes it easier to procure paddy. Forecasts suggest that rice prices will recover in the near future as demand for rice imports typically increases at the end of the year from Vietnam's traditional customers.

As of early July, localities had harvested approximately 390,000 hectares out of a total of over 1.4 million hectares planted during the summer-autumn crop season, with an estimated yield of 6.2 tons/ha. This abundant supply will be a strong driving force for rice exports in the coming period.

According to the General Statistics Office, in the first six months of this year, Vietnam exported more than 4.5 million tons of rice, earning nearly 3 billion USD. Compared to the same period last year, rice exports increased by more than 10% in volume and 32% in value. Many businesses believe that rice export activities will continue to grow steadily until the end of the year.
