Gold prices rise again near peak
Converted according to the exchange rate listed at the bank, the world gold price is equivalent to 106.6 million VND/tael.
After the recent adjustment, world gold prices regained momentum and are only about 130 USD/ounce away from the all-time peak.
Meanwhile, domestic gold prices have increased rapidly in recent days.
This morning, the selling price of SJC gold bars at major gold companies increased by 3.5 million VND/tael, bringing the selling price of gold to 123.3 million VND/tael, and the buying price to 121.3 million VND/tael. This price is only about 670,000 VND/tael lower than the peak price.
However, by the end of today, the gold price had decreased by 1.1 million VND/tael, bringing the selling price of SJC gold bars at SJC Company to 122.2 million VND/tael, and the buying price to 120.2 million VND/tael.
The selling price of SJC gold rings at the end of today is 118 million VND/tael, buying price is 115.5 million VND/tael.
The difference between buying and selling prices is 2 million VND/tael for SJC gold bars and 2.5 million VND/tael for gold rings.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the selling price of 9999 gold rings at the end of today was 120.5 million VND/tael, buying price was 117.5 million VND/tael.
Mi Hong gold shop listed the selling price of SJC gold bars this afternoon at 121.8 million VND/tael, buying at 120.2 million VND/tael.
Domestic gold price is 15.6 million VND/tael higher than world price
Compared to the converted world gold price, the price of SJC gold bars is 15.6 million VND/tael higher than the world gold price.
According to analysis, world gold prices have increased again due to the recent sharp depreciation of the USD.
Investors are also awaiting the outcome of the upcoming monetary policy meeting of the US Federal Reserve (Fed). The market is predicting that the Fed will keep interest rates unchanged at this policy meeting.
The central exchange rate currently announced by the State Bank is 24,938 VND/USD, down 6 VND compared to before. With a 5% margin, the USD exchange rate that commercial banks are allowed to trade is 23,691-26,185 VND/USD.
Today, some major banks listed the USD price at 25,760-26,150 VND (buy - sell). This price is about 35 VND/USD lower than the ceiling price.
In the free market, the selling price of USD is 26,500 VND/USD, buying price is 26,400 VND/USD.
