Gold price slightly decreased, difference with world increased

This morning, August 20, the domestic gold price decreased by 200,000 VND/tael. Currently, the domestic precious metal price is nearly 20 million VND/tael higher than the world price.

Opening the market, Saigon Jewelry Company Limited listed the price of gold rings of type 1-5 only at 116.8 million VND/tael (buy) - 119.3 million VND/tael (sell), down 200,000 VND/tael each way compared to the end of the previous day.

Phu Quy Group also reduced 200,000 VND/tael each way, down to 116.5 million VND/tael (buy) - 119.5 million VND/tael (sell).

Meanwhile, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited continues to list plain round gold rings at 117.2 million VND/tael (buy) - 120.2 million VND/tael (sell).

For SJC gold bars, gold trading enterprises reduced the price by VND200,000/tael each way, to VND123.8 million/tael (buy) - VND124.8 million/tael (sell).

Thus, with the above developments, gold price leaves the historical mark of 125 million VND/tael.

In the world market, early this morning, the gold price was trading at 3,318 USD/ounce, down 26 USD compared to the peak in last night's trading session, and down 16 USD/ounce compared to the same time yesterday.

At nearly 9am, the gold price was trading at 3,317.8 USD/ounce, which was about 19.7 million VND/tael lower than the domestic gold price. This difference increased by 400,000 VND/tael compared to the same time the previous day because the domestic gold price decreased more slowly than the world price.
