World gold price today June 4, 2025 and world gold price fluctuation chart in the past 24 hours
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 4:30 am today, Vietnam time, was at 3,349 USD/ounce. Today's gold price is unchanged compared to yesterday. Converted according to the USD exchange rate on the free market (26,235 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 106 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is about 11 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.

Gold prices fell more than 1%, after hitting a near four-week high, as the dollar strengthened as investors turned cautious ahead of a possible phone call between US President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The dollar index (.DXY) rose 0.5% from a more than one-month low hit earlier in the session, making gold more expensive for overseas buyers.
“We are entering what is commonly known as the summer quiet season, so there is an expectation that the gold market could enter a sideways or mild correction,” said David Meger, director of metals trading at High Ridge Futures.
Markets are nervous ahead of a possible call this week between Trump and Xi, after Trump accused China of violating an agreement to roll back tariffs. The conversation comes as trade tensions between the world’s two largest economies continue to simmer.
Separately, the European Commission said it would push for tariff reductions from the United States, even as Trump proposed doubling tariffs on steel and aluminum, while Washington urged trading partners to submit revised proposals by Wednesday to move negotiations forward.
Investors are also watching U.S. nonfarm payrolls data due on Friday and a series of speeches by Federal Reserve officials for clues on interest rate policy.
“I think the Fed is ready to start cutting rates again, but it probably won’t happen until September… and that’s another factor that could put pressure on the dollar and support gold,” Meger added.
Gold, considered a safe haven in times of political and economic uncertainty, tends to benefit in a low-interest-rate environment. It has gained about 28% so far this year.
Spot silver fell 1.2% to $34.37 an ounce, but remained near a seven-month high hit in the previous session.
Platinum fell 0.4% to $1,059.32, while palladium rose 1.4% to $1,003.10.
