Technically, analysts believe the $4,660-$4,680/ounce range is currently acting as crucial support for gold prices. If this level is maintained, gold prices could return to challenge the $4,757/ounce range and further into the $4,860-$4,880/ounce area in the near future.
Many experts believe that the global gold market is falling as hotter-than-expected US inflation data is causing the US dollar and bond yields to rise again. However, tensions in the Middle East and energy supply risks are still helping the precious metal maintain high prices.
