The price of RON 95-III gasoline (the popular type on the market) increased by VND140, to VND19,840 per liter. E5 RON 92 also increased by VND130, to VND19,400.
On the contrary, diesel oil decreased by 60 VND, down to 19,060 VND per liter. Compared to 7 days ago, kerosene cost 18,710 VND per liter, and fuel oil increased to 15,530 VND.

From August 1, the two largest petroleum market players, Petrolimex and PVOIL, will pilot the sale of E10 gasoline - a biofuel that mixes 10% ethanol into mineral gasoline. Petrolimex will pilot the sale of this gasoline in Ho Chi Minh City, while PVOIL will deploy it in Hanoi and Hai Phong. This is the first step in the nationwide transition to green fuel, expected to begin in 2026.
E10 biofuel, with a composition of 10% bioethanol mixed with 90% mineral gasoline, is considered an important solution to reduce CO2 emissions, promote ethanol agriculture and diversify energy sources. According to the Government's roadmap, E10 biofuel will gradually replace mineral gasoline on the market.
Currently, the VAT rate on gasoline is 8%, maintained until the end of next year, according to the National Assembly Resolution.
This year, the total minimum supply allocated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade to key traders is more than 29.5 million m3, tons of various types of gasoline and oil. In the first half of the year, the supply that businesses prepared for the domestic market was about 13.86 million m3, tons, equivalent to 47% of the plan. However, the actual consumption was 12.6 million m3, tons, so the inventory was about 1.7-1.8 million m3, tons.
