Following the directive of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance, from 3 PM today (April 24th), petroleum businesses will simultaneously adjust the retail prices of petroleum products.
In today's price adjustment, the prices of petroleum products were raised.
Specifically, compared to last week's price adjustment, the price of RON 95 gasoline (the most common type on the market) has been adjusted upwards by 780 VND/liter today, with the retail price being 19,630 VND/liter.
Similarly, the price of E5 RON 92 gasoline increased by 740 VND/liter, bringing the retail price to 19,230 VND/liter.
Meanwhile, the price of diesel increased by 490 VND/liter, bringing the retail price to 17,520 VND/liter.
Similar to previous price adjustments, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance did not utilize the fuel price stabilization fund in today's adjustment.

In the most recent price adjustment (April 17th), the prices of all types of gasoline and diesel (except fuel oil) were sharply reduced, reaching their lowest levels in 5 years.
The price of RON 95 gasoline decreased by 350 VND/liter, with the retail price now at 18,850 VND/liter. The price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 390 VND/liter, with the retail price now at 18,490 VND/liter.
While the price of diesel decreased by 210 VND/liter, the retail price fell to 17,030 VND/liter.
Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Circular 18, amending, supplementing, and repealing some regulations on petroleum business.
Notably, this circular abolishes regulations on the inter-agency group for managing gasoline and diesel prices; regulations on the method for calculating base prices; and the mechanism for forming, managing, and using the Price Stabilization Fund and managing gasoline and diesel prices.
According to Circular 18, the mechanism for managing gasoline and diesel prices will change from May 2nd.
Accordingly, the current inter-ministerial committee of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will no longer exist. Instead, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will directly announce the base price and selling price of petroleum products, based on input data and written operational opinions from the Ministry of Finance .
