On the afternoon of September 25, a fire broke out on the ground floor of a house with a ground floor, a mezzanine, and 5 upper floors in alley 60, Ly Chinh Thang street, Hoa Xuan ward, Ho Chi Minh city.

The fire area was the kitchen where many household items were stored and where a 4-seater car was parked. At that time, fire and smoke rose up and engulfed the main door, the only escape route for the people in the house. Many people inside were panicking and screaming for help.

The Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Region 3 dispatched 4 specialized fire trucks and 17 officers to the scene to put out the fire and rescue people. The police used ladders to reach the trapped people and brought 6 people safely out of the fire.
A fire crew removed the car from the fire area. After a short time, the fire was under control. The rescue team searched the floors to see if anyone was trapped inside.
The cause of the fire was initially determined to have come from a mini gas stove in the kitchen area.
