(NADS) - The 2024 International Mobile Photography Awards has been awarded to a Chinese author. The winning photos not only demonstrate the author's excellent skills, but also reflect new and creative perspectives on the world around us.
Established in 2011, the Mobile Photography Awards has grown to become the largest global photography competition for mobile photography. The competition has introduced to the public many outstanding works that demonstrate great creativity, unique and novel perspectives through the photography device of the phone.
A series of photos of street life by Yajun Hu (Shanghai, China) won the highest prize of the contest - Award of the Year at the 13th Mobile Photography Awards.
This year, 2024, the Mobile Photography Awards attracted thousands of mobile photographers from 80 countries around the world. Shanghai photographer Yajun Hu with his work "Broken Portrait" won the First Prize - 13th Mobile Photography Awards.
His work captures the small coincidences of everyday urban life. His photographs include a person framed by a reflection, or a fountain cleverly covering a part of someone’s body. The series wins for its moment, the unique interplay of shadows, colors and shapes that infuses the composition with depth and emotion.
The photos in the Photography Awards show that when creativity, thinking, perspective and a high sense of problem-solving are brought into play, everyone can create excellent photos with whatever photography equipment they carry with them.
