On the afternoon of February 9th (the 30th day of the 12th lunar month), Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Director of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police, led a delegation to inspect, present gifts, and extend New Year greetings to traffic police officers, fire and rescue forces who are on duty protecting the peace and security of the people during Tet.

The delegation visited the traffic police checkpoint of Huong Thuy Town Police in Thuy Phu commune and the traffic police station under the Traffic Police Department of Thua Thien Hue province.

Here, Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tuan acknowledged, commended, and highly appreciated the proactive efforts of the units in advising and organizing the implementation of plans and strategies to ensure traffic safety on the route.

At the same time, units are required to continue to seriously and effectively implement plans, work orders, and directives from local Party committees and authorities regarding ensuring security and order, and traffic safety.

Traffic police in Thua Thien Hue province carried out their duties throughout New Year's Eve and the Tet holiday.

The Director of the Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police Department has instructed task forces to monitor traffic safety violations in the area, including strictly handling violations related to alcohol and drug use, throughout New Year's Eve and the Tet holiday, with the goal of prioritizing human lives above all else. The aim is to prevent serious and especially serious traffic accidents from occurring before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon 2024.

Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tuan also requested that traffic police forces strengthen patrol and control activities, promptly detect and combat all types of crimes and social evils during the performance of their duties.

On the same day, the delegation also visited, encouraged, and presented gifts to the fire prevention and rescue police force of Thua Thien Hue province.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024 (Year of the Dragon), Colonel Nguyen Thanh Tuan presented gifts and extended New Year greetings, encouraging officers and soldiers to work with peace of mind and uphold their responsibility in protecting security and order, as well as traffic safety, so that people can enjoy the spring festival and celebrate the New Year peacefully and safely.
