On the afternoon of April 21, providing information about the tourism industry activities in Ho Chi Minh City on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification, Director of the Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa said that visitors from all over are flocking to Ho Chi Minh City.
Hotels from 1 star to 5 stars in District 1, District 4 and Ben Nha Rong area - where performing arts activities, parades, fireworks, light festivals, and cuisine are concentrated - room occupancy rates have reached 95 - 100% at this time.
In particular, 4-5 star hotels reported full rooms from April 27 to May 1, which is the peak holiday season and the time when artistic activities take place to celebrate the great festival.

However, Ms. Hoa noted that only hotels in the central area, where the parade passed through, were fully booked; while neighboring districts still had rooms for tourists coming to the city during this holiday.
"Ho Chi Minh City still has many hotels in other districts. The room capacity is very large, ensuring that tourists can come to the city to have fun and relax during the peak holiday of April 30. We also coordinate with districts to update accommodation addresses for tourists," said Ms. Anh Hoa.
Thus, if you cannot book a hotel room in the central area where the festival activities are held, visitors can choose to stay at hotels in District 3, District 5, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan, Tan Binh, Thu Duc City... These places are concentrating many hotels with very diverse segments, reasonable prices, and very good service quality.
Guests in these areas can also easily get to the city center with many public means of transport from taxis, buses, metro... contributing to cost savings and reducing traffic congestion.
Ho Chi Minh City currently has more than 3,200 tourist accommodation establishments, including more than 130 1-5 star hotels, with about 55,000 rooms.
Besides the fully booked hotels in the city center, some cultural and historical tour products have also stopped accepting guests during peak days in April.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City tourism industry is introducing to visitors many new and diverse tourism products to meet the needs of city residents, domestic and foreign tourists coming to the city for entertainment. Among them are a series of cultural and historical tours from the inner city to connecting with neighboring provinces.
Ms. Hoa said that these tours not only focus on visiting historical sites, but also combine cultural experiences, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of the city’s history and culture. In particular, many tours are designed to suit students and the elderly.
Some new tourism products associated with cultural and historical depth create a special mark for the 50th anniversary of national reunification, which are very popular with visitors, such as community tourism in Thanh An commune (Can Gio); tours to Hoc Mon, a place that still preserves the Southern spirit through revolutionary history and simple everyday culture.
Or the tour "Six provinces of Nam Ky" - from tradition to creative culture, is a unique touch point connecting modern life with the breath of generous Southern culture...
