Facing a slightly better opponent, Syria (currently ranked 90th in the world compared to Vietnam - ranked 95), coach Troussier chose the best personnel for this match.
Right after the opening whistle, the home team dominated the field and headed towards the opponent's goal. From the first minutes, the ball was mainly passed to Doan Van Hau on the left wing, opening up flank attacks.
