At Cua Tung Kindergarten (Cua Tung Commune, Quang Tri), nearly 10 soldiers at Cua Tung Border Post (Quang Tri Border Guard) supported teachers in reinforcing classroom roofs and protecting property from the storm.

Previously, knowing that storm No. 5 would affect the mainland areas of the provinces from Nghe An to Quang Tri, since this morning, nearly 40 teachers and staff at Cua Tung Kindergarten gathered at the school, some holding ropes, others carrying sacks to reinforce and protect assets, especially at the time when the new school year is about to begin.

Ms. Bui Thi Tinh - Principal of Cua Tung Kindergarten said that all staff, teachers and employees of the school were present to carry out storm prevention work.

The female teachers did not hesitate to climb onto the slippery roof, pouring water into bags to secure the roof, limiting the possibility of strong winds blowing the roof away.

The school board, teachers and staff proactively checked the infrastructure system, reinforced the roof and classroom doors. The trees in the school yard were also neatly trimmed to avoid the risk of falling. In particular, the school also coordinated with parents to educate students about prevention and safety during the school break.

In order to ensure absolute safety for students, teachers and staff of the education sector, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri requires heads of units and schools to strictly implement the instructions of Official Dispatch No. 05/CD-UBND dated August 24, 2025 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Notice for preschool children, students, and trainees to stay home from school from the morning of August 25, 2025 until the weather returns to normal. Proactively implement measures to secure classrooms and glass doors; preserve teaching equipment, records, and documents in safe locations. Assign staff, teachers, and employees to be on duty 24/7 to promptly respond to any situations that may arise.
