Quang Tri lets students stay home from school from tomorrow to avoid storm Kajiki

On the afternoon of August 24, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri province issued a notice to preschool and general education establishments across the province; Quang Tri College of Education; foreign language centers, information technology centers, life skills education centers, study abroad consulting centers, and tutoring and extra-curricular learning centers about allowing students to stay home from school to avoid storm Kajiki.

Previously, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province issued an official dispatch requesting the Department of Education and Training to deploy work to ensure safety for personnel, equipment, and infrastructure under the management of the industry to limit damage and not affect the opening ceremony and learning of students.

In order to ensure absolute safety for students, teachers and staff of the education sector, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Tri requires heads of units and schools to strictly implement the instructions of Official Dispatch No. 05/CD-UBND dated August 24, 2025 of the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Notice for preschool children, students, and trainees to stay home from school from the morning of August 25, 2025 until the weather returns to normal. Proactively implement measures to secure classrooms and glass doors; preserve teaching equipment, records, and documents in safe locations. Assign staff, teachers, and employees to be on duty 24/7 to promptly respond to any situations that may arise.

Based on the specific situation in the locality, heads of units and schools proactively adjust plans to gather students at the beginning of the school year; temporarily suspend non-urgent meetings, conferences and training sessions to prioritize the work of preventing, fighting and responding to storms and floods until the dangerous natural disaster situation ends.

Heads of units and schools in the province closely monitor the developments of storms, floods and promptly report to the Department.
