VFF in top 3 nominations for Member Association of the Year Award at AFC Awards Riyadh 2025

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) is honored to be among the three member federations nominated for the category “Member Federation of the Year – Diamond category” at the AFC Awards Riyadh 2025.

The AFC Awards Riyadh 2025 is a prestigious event of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to honor the outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations in the continental football system.

This is one of the most important and prestigious categories of the AFC Annual Awards, honoring federations that have made outstanding contributions to the overall development of Asian football. In the Diamond category, AFC recognizes federations with large-scale operations, professional competition systems, youth training networks and strong community football movements, along with effective implementation of projects and support programs of AFC and FIFA.

According to the official nomination list announced by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), along with the Chinese Football Association (CFA) and the Football Association of Thailand (FAT), are the three representatives honored in the top 3 categories of Member Federation of the Year - Diamond.

The year 2025 marked many outstanding activities of the VFF, including the successful organization of national tournaments at youth, professional, futsal and women's football levels; the effective implementation of international cooperation projects such as "Community Football in Vietnam (FFAV)", the program of training coaches, referees and developing school football. The national teams also achieved many encouraging results in regional and continental arenas, contributing to affirming the position of Vietnamese football in the AFC system. In recent times, the VFF has also implemented many practical social responsibility programs, closely following the AFC's orientation, thereby spreading the humanistic values ​​of football, promoting gender equality, educating life skills and contributing to community development.

The AFC Awards Riyadh 2025 ceremony brought together the stars, coaches, referees and representative organizations of Asian football. The event marked the return of this prestigious award after a hiatus due to the pandemic, and affirmed the AFC's efforts in honoring and spreading the positive values ​​of football in the continent.

The fact that the VFF is among the three best member federations in Asia is proof of the right direction in the national football development strategy, while affirming the position, prestige and growing role of Vietnam in the common home of Asian football.

The AFC Awards Riyadh 2025 Asian Football Awards ceremony will take place on the evening of October 16, 2025, at the King Fahad Cultural Center, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), starting at 8:00 p.m. local time (00:00 on October 17, Vietnam time).
