Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training Nguyen Van Hieu has just issued decisions on the establishment of 16 preschool education professional clusters in Ho Chi Minh City for the 2025-2026 school year and assigned 16 principals as cluster heads.

The principals of preschools have just been assigned by the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City to be cluster leaders of 16 preschool education clusters of the city in the 2025-2026 school year as follows:

According to the decision of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, the head of the professional cluster is responsible for developing a plan; assigning members of the cluster to implement city-level topics during the year and topics according to the plan of the professional cluster.

Members of the professional cluster are key management staff of preschool education facilities in wards, communes and special zones, coordinating to carry out professional work, providing professional support to independent preschool education facilities in the area and implementing specialized topics according to plan.

3 main activities of the Ho Chi Minh City preschool professional cluster

16 preschool professional clusters in Ho Chi Minh City were established, with cluster leaders assigned in the context of the new Ho Chi Minh City, after the merger (including Binh Duong province, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, old Ho Chi Minh City) becoming the largest metropolis in the country, with the largest educational scale in the country.

By July 2025, Ho Chi Minh City will have 1,839 preschools, including 692 public schools, 1,147 non-public schools; more than 3,100 independent preschool groups and classes. A total of 521,552 preschool children are studying, including 220,303 children in public facilities, 301,249 children in non-public facilities. Therefore, the Ho Chi Minh City preschool education sector has developed a management strategy to ensure the safety of all children, and improve the quality of care, nurturing, and education of children.

At the end of September 2025, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City issued the operating plan of the city's preschool education professional cluster for the 2025-2026 school year.

16 professional clusters have 3 main activities: Supporting professional work; supporting the implementation of topics for the 2025-2026 school year; organizing and participating in city-level activities, conferences, and competitions, combining propaganda and communication work.

In August 2025, at Tan Phong Kindergarten, Tan Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, a training session took place for managers and teachers of public and private kindergartens and independent classes.

Regarding professional support, the tasks of the professional cluster include: continuing to advise on innovation, improving the quality of implementing the Preschool Education Program and developing the program in preschool education facilities; sharing experiences, supporting the organization of activities to improve the quality of nurturing, caring for, and educating children according to the Preschool Education Program for independent preschool education facilities in the area...
