On the afternoon of October 16, in Hanoi, the Embassy of the Republic of Italy in Vietnam in collaboration with Uni-Italia Vietnam (the organization promoting university cooperation and Italian study abroad in Vietnam) organized the Italian Study Abroad Festival. This is an annual event to create opportunities for Vietnamese students to explore the modern education and unique learning environment of the “boot-shaped country” of Europe. This year's program was held in three major cities: Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the festival, Mr. Marco Della Seta, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Vietnam, shared: The event is an educational bridge between Italy and Vietnam, demonstrating friendship and bilateral cooperation through knowledge. The Italian Government always considers education as a solid foundation to enhance mutual understanding between the two countries and is committed to creating all favorable conditions for Vietnamese students from visa application procedures after being accepted by universities to diverse scholarship programs, providing maximum support for international students to study and research in Italy.

Representatives of Italian universities also introduced many attractive scholarship policies. Ms. Irene Toscana, representative of the Department of Promotion, Admission and International Student Reception, University of Macerata said: The school currently has a cooperation agreement with Hanoi University, reserving scholarships for students of the school, and participating in scholarship programs of the Italian Government such as MAECI-Study in Italy and Invest Your Talent in Italy. In addition, the school also applies flexible tuition fees according to national income, helping Vietnamese students only have to pay about 156 euros/year, demonstrating Italy's commitment to creating favorable and fair study abroad conditions for learners.
Mr. Vincenzo Fumetta, representative of Palermo University (UniPa) shared: The Italian government allows international students to extend their visas for 12 months after graduation, expanding employment opportunities or continuing their studies. At the event, Vietnamese students had the opportunity to interact and exchange directly with school representatives and international students, learning about the real life of studying, living and cultural integration in Italy.
Tue Nhi, a student at Vinh Phuc High School for the Gifted, shared: I am impressed with the friendliness of the teachers; the diverse curriculum and many preferential scholarship policies for international students.

Within the framework of the event, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to contestants participating in the contest "Discover Study Abroad in Italy 2025" and the contest "Quiz Study in Italy" with many attractive gifts, including a round-trip ticket from Hanoi to Milan, contributing to creating a vibrant atmosphere, spreading the excitement of learning about Italian culture and education.
As one of the oldest and most prestigious educational centers in Europe, Italy currently owns many prestigious universities in the fields of art, design, architecture, humanities and engineering. In recent years, the Italian higher education system has continuously expanded and diversified its training programs, in which many courses taught entirely in English have been opened to facilitate and attract a large number of international students.
With its practical significance and strong influence, the Italian Study Abroad Information Day “Study in Italia” 2025 continues to open the door to help many young Vietnamese people get closer to their dream of studying in Europe. The series of events “Study in Italia” 2025 will continue to be held in Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, creating opportunities for parents and students across the country to exchange and learn more about the advanced education system of the “boot-shaped country”.
