Awarding ceremony of the 3rd National Art Photography Competition and Exhibition "Fatherland on the Shore"

On the evening of October 16, in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission chaired and coordinated with the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army and relevant agencies to organize the Award Ceremony of the 3rd National Art Photography Contest and Exhibition "Fatherland on the Shore of Waves" in 2025.

Attending the award ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission; General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army.

Speaking at the Award Ceremony, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that after three times of organization, the contest has created many impressions and had a wide influence, becoming one of the effective methods in propaganda work about the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

In the coming time, he requested the Organizing Committee, artists and staff working on information and propaganda for seas and islands to deeply and comprehensively understand the Party's viewpoints, policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws on seas and islands. Continue to innovate the content and methods of information and propaganda for seas and islands, especially foreign information. Focus resources on digital transformation, improve combativeness, education and persuasiveness. Continuously improve the quality of staff working on information and propaganda for seas and islands.

The National Photography Competition and Exhibition "Fatherland on the Shore" is held every two years. The third competition was launched from March to July 2025, receiving 15,770 photos from 3,514 authors.

Through the judging rounds, the Jury selected 150 outstanding works to be introduced at the Exhibition, of which 22 best works were awarded prizes (including 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes). The two first prizes went to the authors: Nguyen Viet Hoang Long (Quang Ninh), single photo "Under the shadow of the national flag"; Nguyen Khac Hao (Hung Yen), photo series "Bustling anchovy season".

Through the judging rounds, the Jury selected 150 outstanding works to introduce at the Exhibition.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit from the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission to 8 provinces and cities with outstanding achievements in coordinating the implementation of the contest.

From the results of the 3rd "Fatherland on the Shore" Contest, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission continues to coordinate with relevant agencies to promote the compilation of: bilingual photo books, electronic photo books, virtual reality exhibitions and organize photo exhibitions in provinces and cities.
