New mark of singer Nguyen Ngoc Anh in the album "Promise"

On October 16, the album “Promise” by singer Nguyen Ngoc Anh was officially released in Hanoi. This is the 4th personal album, marking many efforts of the female singer to renew herself.

With a beautiful, powerful and emotional voice, singer Nguyen Ngoc Anh still appears regularly at large and small shows, but the frequency of her album releases is quite modest. After 9 years, the female singer has just "released" a new album, continuing the success of the previous 3 albums that recorded the collaboration with 2 talented musicians: musician Do Bao ("Wonderful World " - 2007, "Late Blooming Flower" - 2011) and musician Pham Hai Au ("From the Heart" - 2016).

Ngoc Anh is still known as a careful, meticulous female artist who likes to explore new things but does not follow trends. And this album is a clear demonstration of her artistic personality.

For singer Nguyen Ngoc Anh, “The Promise” is a recognition of the kindness of the musicians who entrusted their “brainchild” to her to perform, and also a gratitude that she wants to send to the audience who always love and follow her on her artistic path.

The album "Promise" by singer Nguyen Ngoc Anh includes 8 songs with diverse musical styles, a mix of Pop and other colors such as Rock, R&B, Ballad, Retro, City Pop....

Among them, there are 3 songs written by musician Ho Hoai Anh specifically for singer Nguyen Ngoc Anh: “Khep lai do dang” was recorded into an MV and released last September. The remaining 2 songs: “Dong sang di mong” is an impressive duet between Nguyen Ngoc Anh and divo Tung Duong, and “3 meters in the sky” is a typical Pop ballad song, right in the singer’s forte.

3 compositions with 3 different musical colors: one song with a strong narrative style, one song with a gentle and poignant style, and one song expressing a thorny, modern musical personality.

Sharing about the collaboration with musician Ho Hoai Anh, the singer of “Finding a person like that” said that she and Ho Hoai Anh not only understand each other’s musical personalities but also have been friends for many years. Therefore, as soon as she invited him to accompany her on this comeback, Ho Hoai Anh readily accepted without hesitation.

Along with Ho Hoai Anh, the album “Loi Hen Uoc” also marked the collaboration between Nguyen Ngoc Anh and young musician Pham Thanh Ha with 2 songs: “Xay Mong” and “Den Ben Em”. Pham Thanh Ha is the owner of many “hits” such as “Tinh Yeu Mau Nang”, “Dua Nhau Di Troi”, “Bua Yeu”… According to Nguyen Ngoc Anh, this is a musician with strong creativity, a younger brother that she loves and respects both in art and in life.

In addition, in the album, Nguyen Ngoc Anh also performed two songs: "The Last Waltz" by Hekii-Nguyen Bao Ngoc and "A Person Not For Himself" by Zen.

Nguyen Ngoc Anh shared that the person who made her change a lot in her musical thinking was her life partner: singer To Minh Duc. In this album, To Minh Duc not only sang a duet with her but also helped her take on many other important roles such as: producing, composing the song "Loi Hen Uoc", arranging the song, recording and arranging the backing track.

This is a student with a very strong personality, always having a desire and enthusiasm for art. She assessed that her album this time has many new and youthful things, but still exudes depth in the way she expresses music. The richer her life experiences are, the more "real", deeper and more emotional Nguyen Ngoc Anh sings.

Singer Nguyen Ngoc Anh was born in 1981 in Quang Ninh. She won the Gold Medal at the National Voice Contest in 1999, and the Third Prize at the Hanoi Young Voice Contest in 2001. She became famous after winning the Second Prize at the Sao Mai Contest in 2005, in the pop music genre. The female singer also entered the top 5 at the Sao Mai Rendezvous Contest in 2006.
