Many principals and vice principals are candidates for the title of Professor and Associate Professor in 2025.

According to statistics from Tien Phong reporter from the list recently approved by the State Council of Professors, among the 835 candidates proposed for recognition as meeting the standards of Professor and Associate Professor this year, there are 71 Professor candidates and 764 Associate Professor candidates.

In the higher education sector, a series of principals appeared on the list, including:

Associate Professor Dr. Kieu Xuan Thuc, Rector of Hanoi University of Industry – Associate Professor candidate in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. He was Head of Training Department and Vice Rector before taking up his current position.

Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Dinh Phi, Principal of the School of Business and Management (VNU Hanoi) - candidate for Professor in the field of economics , has many research works on international business management and development.

Associate Professor Dr. Ta Van Loi, Principal of the School of Business – National Economics University – candidate for Professor of International Business, used to be Vice Principal and is one of the founders of the applied business training model at the school.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Trung, Principal of Banking University of Ho Chi Minh City - candidate for Professor of Economics, is known for more than 90 scientific publications and many research works on banking and finance.

Dr. Tran Trong Dao, President of Ton Duc Thang University – Associate Professor candidate in the field of Electricity and Electronics, has more than 13 international articles in the past 18 months. Notably, last year, Mr. Dao was also an Associate Professor candidate in the above field but was not approved by the State Council of Professors.

Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Principal of Lac Hong University - Associate Professor candidate in Information Technology, has published 8 international articles in the first half of 2025.

Associate Professor Dr. Phan Hong Hai, Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry – Associate Professor candidate in Economics and Finance, is a strong promoter of international publication in the field of technical schools.

Associate Professor Dr. Le Van Huy, Principal of the University of Economics – University of Danang – candidate for Professor of Economics, with many works in the field of digital marketing and information systems.

Dr. Le Thi Thuy, Principal of Danang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, candidate for Associate Professor in Medicine and Pharmacy. She was recognized as Principal from December 2022, term 2020 - 2025, after serving as Vice Principal and directly teaching clinical.
