In Dakrong commune, Da Do spillway (Ra Lay village) and Chan Ro were flooded 0.5m; Ta Rut commune has 3 spillways flooded 0.3-0.4m...
Due to rapidly rising floodwaters, 10 households with 46 people in Huc Thuong village (Khe Sanh commune) were evacuated to safety by the authorities.

Currently, the water level of rivers is still below alert level 1. Irrigation reservoirs have reached about 84.8% of their design capacity, still within safe limits.
The Quang Tri Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control requested localities to put up warning signs, block underground overflows, arrange forces on duty 24/7, and be ready to evacuate people from dangerous areas in case of bad situations.

Also on the morning of October 16, heavy rain caused many landslides on the Ho Chi Minh Highway West branch through the southern localities of Quang Tri province, causing local traffic jams in some locations. Currently, the authorities are diverting traffic and repairing the situation to ensure smooth traffic flow on the route.
