(To Quoc) - On the afternoon of November 18th, the photo exhibition "Colors of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups" opened at the Center for Appraisal and Exhibition of Fine Arts and Photography, 29 Hang Bai Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.

The exhibition, directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions in coordination with relevant units, aims to honor, spread, introduce, and promote the unique and precious cultural values of the Vietnamese people.

Attending the event were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Council Tran Thi Hoa Ry; along with representatives from the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions and a large number of artists and photography enthusiasts.

In his opening remarks at the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized: Vietnam is home to 54 ethnic groups living together. The community of Vietnamese ethnic groups has been formed and developed alongside thousands of years of history in nation-building and defense, giving Vietnam a beautiful, diverse, and unified picture, in which the cultural identities of the Vietnamese ethnic groups are unique and precious.

The exhibition "Colors of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups" displays 200 photographs by 87 authors.

These are selected photos from thousands of images submitted by professional and amateur photographers, ethnographers, journalists, photojournalists, and lovers of traditional ethnic cultures from all over the country.

The artworks showcase the distinctive and representative cultural characteristics of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups, from customs and beliefs to lifestyles.
