Upholding revolutionary ethics

Anyone who joins the Party has recited the oath before the Party flag during a solemn and proud induction ceremony. That memory stays with each Party member throughout their life.

Throughout their work, dedication, self-cultivation, and training, most Party members have kept their promises; remaining loyal and devoted to the noble ideal of serving the people and building a strong Party; placing the interests of the people and the Fatherland above all else...

Millions of Party members across generations have made significant contributions to the Party's great achievements. Each Party member is considered a building block in the construction of a solid political fortress with pure and noble ideals.

However, due to the pressures of life and the temptations of material possessions and positions, a segment of cadres and Party members have "become corrupted" or "transformed," forcing the Party organization to take disciplinary action in various forms and degrees. Some Party members have been expelled from the Party ranks and stripped of all positions entrusted to them by the Party.

The reason some people become corrupt and degenerate is due to their pragmatic lifestyle, prioritizing personal and group interests above all else. They are led astray by greed for money, power, and personal gain. They have forgotten their promises to the Party and the people simply because they cannot endure hardship, crave wealth, and compete for personal gain.

President Ho Chi Minh once taught: "The interests of the individual are linked to the interests of the collective. If individual interests conflict with collective interests, then revolutionary ethics demand that the individual's private interests must be subordinate to the common interests of the collective."

Revolutionary ethics, like a guiding light, leads Party members to discern right from wrong, truth from falsehood, gain from loss, and adopt the correct attitude to act rationally, harmoniously and skillfully resolving the dialectical relationship between ideals and interests in various circumstances and situations of life and work. The struggle against individualism and group interests through the building and maintenance of revolutionary ethics, aimed at preventing and eradicating corruption, waste, and negative practices at their root, must be carried out vigorously, continuously, and without interruption.
