With its diverse tourism resources, unique culture, and distinctive cuisine, Lam Dong is exploiting its night tourism potential by developing attractive products and services. Specifically, Lam Dong has been implementing five models for developing night tourism products: performing arts; sports , health care, and beauty; night shopping and entertainment; night sightseeing; and showcasing culinary culture and nighttime food and beverage services.

Therefore, solutions such as diversifying night-time tourism products, developing infrastructure and services, attracting investment and social participation, and creating momentum for economic growth and attracting tourists should be promoted. However, at a meeting with the Vietnam National Tourism Administration, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang, Head of the Tourism Management Department of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated that some limitations still exist during implementation, such as: night-time economic models mainly involve outdoor activities, dependent on weather and climate. In addition, infrastructure and facilities are limited; food courts, squares, parks, night-time entertainment areas, night-time shopping areas, and tourism products do not yet meet requirements; there are few large businesses in the area, and commercial centers and supermarkets have not yet been established. The system of restaurants and accommodation facilities has not been invested in comprehensively, operating on a small scale, mainly consisting of small-scale guesthouses.

In the investment and planning procedures, the auction and bidding process for the Mui Ne night market project has been delayed due to the investor halting construction. Some models negatively impact the living space of residents; there is a lack of unique products and market appeal; nighttime sightseeing services at cultural and historical sites (museums, historical sites, etc.) have not been widely implemented; promotion and connection with international night tours are limited; most visitors are independent travelers, and a chain of inter-provincial nighttime tourism products has not yet been formed.

To overcome current difficulties in implementing and developing nighttime tourism in the future, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposes that the Provincial People's Committee pay attention to directing the completion of the planning and attracting investment. Specifically, developing a plan to attract investment for Tran Quoc Toan pedestrian street with various types of artistic performances, commercial stalls with beautifully decorated train carriages, and lake sightseeing activities by decorated boats.

Complete the investment promotion plan (bidding or auction) for the Light Park to create a new, modern, and aesthetically pleasing landscaped park area combined with a parking lot and night market. Simultaneously, complete the planning for the Lu Gia residential area to attract investment for a residential area combined with a pedestrian street and night market in the area north of Xuan Huong Lake, aiming to create a model street.

Complete the planning of nighttime infrastructure in key tourist areas; prioritize investment in artistic lighting systems, centralized parking lots, and security cameras. Direct the review, simplification, and streamlining of administrative procedures for granting investment licenses for nighttime tourism projects; issue a model set of criteria for night streets and night markets that meet the requirements of civilized commerce and fire prevention and control.

Directing relevant agencies to continue researching and resolving obstacles and difficulties for businesses in implementing night-time economic models. Encouraging businesses in the Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area, Lam Vien Square area, and Mui Ne National Tourist Area to develop high-end, novel night-time services, especially high-end services that operate throughout the night.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the province recommends that the Government issue mechanisms and policies to encourage and support units participating in nighttime economic activities, especially those operating from 10 PM to 6 AM the following morning.

Gradually overcoming difficulties and promoting the development of the night-time economy through tourism will be a breath of fresh air to boost economic growth, create jobs, and enhance the experience for tourists whenever they visit Lam Dong.
