Creating a national green digital map
Launched at the Forum "Dual Transformation - Driving Force for Economic Growth: Perspectives from Policy to Practice", GreenMap is evaluated by experts as a comprehensive ecosystem, integrating green tourism, green finance, green community and green governance, contributing to the realization of the National Green Growth Strategy and the commitment to Net Zero by 2050.
According to Mr. Ha Van An, founder - Chairman of A&B Eco Green Joint Stock Company: "If Google Map helps people find their way, GreenMap shows us how to live." That statement clearly shows the spirit of the project: turning green tourism into a mass movement, where technology becomes a bridge between personal awareness and social responsibility.
On GreenMap, more than 3,000 routes belonging to 21 green routes, along with thousands of "Green Points" - from restaurants, hotels, OCOP stores, to organic farms - are digitized and identified. Each location appears with a green flag symbolizing the commitment to living in harmony with nature, and each visit and each user choice is recorded as a specific green action.
What makes GreenMap so valuable is its ability to connect data, finance, and community in one platform. The app not only helps travelers plan sustainable itineraries, but also opens up opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to access green capital and preferential credit, while providing a points and cashback mechanism to encourage responsible consumption.
On a macro level, GreenMap aims to create a national green data infrastructure where all green actions are recorded and made transparent. When these data converge, Vietnam can track the “green health” of its economy through the number of trees planted, the amount of waste recycled, or emissions reduced. That is how technology is used to monitor, evaluate, and promote real action.
Promoting inclusive growth
The emergence of GreenMap also has profound social significance in the context of the increasingly evident climate crisis. Vietnam, one of the countries most severely affected by climate change, needs action tools that can mobilize the community and create transparent monitoring mechanisms. GreenMap was born to meet that need.
Programs such as “Own a Tree”, “Exchange Trash for Gifts” or “Single-Use Plastic Credits” have turned environmental slogans into concrete actions. The green credit exchange system helps people see the value of each small action, while businesses can demonstrate social responsibility through public data.
Another special feature is the "Golden Resource" network, a team of volunteers including retired officials, streamlined workers and dedicated individuals, who play a role in verifying information, monitoring and spreading the movement at the grassroots level. They become "mobile green points", contributing to bringing the spirit of environmental protection to each residential community.

GreenMap not only supports the two-level government in managing green development, but also helps businesses to be more transparent in production and people to be more proactive in action. This is a three-party resonance model: State, Enterprise and Community, together creating new value for the green economy.
In addition to its administrative functions, GreenMap also brings a creative breath of the digital age. The "Eco Pass" application combines augmented reality (AR) technology, allowing users to participate in tree planting, garbage collection or community relief challenges, turning environmental protection into an engaging experience for young people. In parallel, the "Community Blackboard" tool allows consumers to transparently monitor the supply chain, protect OCOP products and fight against counterfeiting.
From an economic perspective, GreenMap paves the way for hundreds of thousands of small businesses and households to access green markets and preferential capital, while contributing to the shift to sustainable consumption in society. Every citizen realizes that they can be part of the global solution, just by making everyday choices.
GreenMap's vision for 2030 is to digitize all 34 provinces and cities, integrate 20 million Green Dots and "own" 1 billion trees on the platform, creating a digital map of green action in Vietnam. It is not just a number, but a commitment to a long-term journey where technology and people work together towards sustainable prosperity.
As shared by Mr. Ha Van An: "GreenMap's success is not due to technology, but due to changes in awareness and behavior. When each citizen becomes a green agent, the country will naturally become a green, sustainable and proud Vietnam on the world map."
