According to The Verge , it's been 10 years since Grand Theft Auto V (GTA 5) first launched on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, followed by the online version , Grand Theft Auto Online . In a new post on X on September 18th, Rockstar Games paid tribute to its fanbase, stating that the company's player base has helped GTA 5 thrive across generations of gaming consoles.

Last week, to celebrate its 10th anniversary, Rockstar also announced a host of new content for GTA Online. Fans will receive new outfits, weapon upgrades in the style of GTA 5, an additional game mode, a classic car called the Bravado Hotring Hellfire for GTA+ members, and various collectibles and rewards for completing certain missions.
According to The Verge, beyond its vast game world and engaging gameplay, GTA 5 's biggest strength lies in its storytelling. The game's approach allows fans to experience the narrative from three different perspectives simultaneously, something that films cannot achieve.
Since its launch, Rockstar has released versions of the game on the next two generations of Xbox and PlayStation, while also improving things through graphical upgrades, such as Ray Tracing. The company also launched the first 3D catalogs of the series in Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — Definitive Edition .
But Rockstar hasn't announced anything about GTA 6 , the highly anticipated game that the company confirmed last year was in development. Aside from the hacker leak of footage and source code, information about the new game remains very limited.
