The warning focuses on the increasing number of organizations and individuals taking advantage of social networks, online platforms and media to spread false advertisements about products such as milk, medicine, functional foods, cosmetics, etc., seriously affecting the rights of consumers.
The message will ask people to be cautious, selective, evaluate and carefully check the quality of products before using or buying these goods and services.
The free texting campaign will be deployed on May 30 and 31, with priority given to mobile network users in densely populated provinces and cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa, Can Tho, etc., through major network operators including Viettel, Vinaphone and Mobifone .
In parallel with sending messages, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism continues to coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security , the Ministry of Health and other relevant agencies to strengthen inspection and strictly handle violations in advertising activities, especially in the online environment, to ensure the legitimate rights of consumers and stabilize market order.
