(GLO) - From January 19 to 25, the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam was solemnly held in Hanoi. This is a major political event for the country, with strategic orientation significance for development in the new period.

In an atmosphere of excitement and confidence, delegates from Gia Lai province attending the Congress expressed their deep belief and great expectations in the important decisions that will be adopted by the Congress, contributing to strengthening national unity and creating momentum to lead the country steadily into a new era of development.

Attending the 14th National Congress of the Party is a great honor, but also a heavy responsibility for us before the Party Committee, the government, and the people of all ethnic groups in Gia Lai province.

This congress is not only a political event of special significance but also a milestone marking the beginning of a new phase of national development amidst a rapidly changing and complex global situation.

The democratic, serious, and highly responsible atmosphere at the Congress clearly demonstrated the spirit of unity, wisdom, and political determination of the entire Party, people, and army; affirming a consistent strategic vision for the goal of rapid and sustainable development, building a prosperous and happy country.

The expectations and trust of cadres, Party members, and the people, entrusted to the major decisions of the Congress, are the driving force for delegates to demonstrate the highest level of responsibility.

One of the key highlights of the 14th National Congress was the clear identification of the requirements for national development in the new context, emphasizing the role of regional linkages, strategic infrastructure development, science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

For the Central Coast and Central Highlands regions, these orientations are of particular importance, creating a basis for effectively exploiting potential and advantages, expanding development space, and enhancing the competitiveness of the entire region.

Specifically for Gia Lai province, we must affirm that the formation of a new development space after the administrative reorganization has long-term strategic significance, creating conditions for restructuring the economy, reorganizing the development space, and better utilizing the potential and advantages of the locality.

Based on the major orientations of the 14th National Congress, I expect the Central Committee to continue improving institutions, promoting decentralization and delegation of power, creating conditions for localities to be proactive and creative in organizing implementation, linking economic development with ensuring national defense, security, social welfare, and improving people's lives.

In the coming period, Gia Lai province is determined to focus on strengthening regional linkages, developing key infrastructure; shifting the economic structure towards modernity and sustainability; and effectively exploiting cultural and historical values ​​and tourism potential.

At the same time, emphasis should be placed on developing human resources, applying science and technology, and digital transformation to improve the efficiency of management and administration, and the quality of service provided to citizens and businesses.

As a delegate to the Congress and in my capacity, I affirm that I will work together with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to focus on leading and directing the timely implementation of the decisions of the 14th Congress through practical, feasible action programs and plans that are appropriate to the local conditions, contributing to bringing the Party's resolutions into life as soon as possible.

▪ Comrade Rơ Chăm H'Hồng - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Association: Creating momentum for agricultural and rural development

Being entrusted with attending the Congress is both a great honor and a responsibility before the Party, the people, and the numerous cadres and farmer members in the province.

I believe that every contribution at the Congress must stem from the practical realities of production, the lives of farmers, and the requirements for agricultural and rural development in the new era.

I expect the Congress to continue to pay deeper attention to personnel work, especially the development of comprehensive policies in sourcing, training, planning, utilizing, and rewarding female cadres and cadres from ethnic minorities – a force close to the people, understanding the people, and playing an important role in organizing and implementing the Party's guidelines and policies.

In practice, this workforce still faces many difficulties regarding training, development, and an environment that fosters the development of their abilities.

Furthermore, we hope that the Congress will make stronger and more practical decisions to support farmers in developing production in the context of agriculture being affected by climate change, volatile markets, and the increasing demand for digital transformation.

In particular, robust mechanisms regarding capital, science and technology, vocational training, production-consumption linkages, brand building and promotion, etc., are identified as important drivers for farmers to increase their income, stabilize their lives, and contribute to building modern rural areas.

I feel extremely honored and proud to be a delegate attending the Congress - a particularly important political event that plays a strategic role in guiding the development of the country in the new era.

This is also a great responsibility for cadres and Party members representing the local Party committee and people.

We believe that the policies and decisions adopted at the Congress will usher in a new, comprehensive, and sustainable phase of development for the country.

In particular, what I expect are groundbreaking, strategic decisions aimed at promoting local development.

First and foremost, the Central Committee needs to continue improving the mechanism for inclusive and sustainable development across economic, political, cultural, and social fields; and remove shortcomings and bottlenecks that hinder development.

Secondly, we need to focus more strongly on training and improving the quality of grassroots cadres – the force directly responsible for implementing the Party's resolutions in practice.

Strong grassroots officials will determine the effectiveness of leadership and management at the local level, thereby helping people benefit from policies in a practical way.

Thirdly, the Congress continued to put forward strong policies on decentralization and delegation of power, creating conditions for grassroots levels to proactively exploit their potential and advantages.

In particular, policies on infrastructure investment, digital transformation, advanced rural development, and urban development are expected to become important driving forces helping localities in general, and Tuy Phuoc commune in particular, strive to achieve the goal of becoming a standard ward in the 2025-2030 period.

▪ Comrade Siu H'Ler - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ia Púch commune: Focus on investing in infrastructure, education, and healthcare in border areas.

Over the years, many of the Party's guidelines and policies have been implemented, creating significant changes in the border region in general and Ia Púch commune in particular.

The transportation system, schools, and health centers have received significant investment; poverty reduction and social welfare programs have been implemented synchronously, contributing to improving the material and spiritual lives of the people and strengthening their trust in the Party's leadership.

The 14th Party Congress is a political event in which cadres, Party members, and the people of Ia Púch commune place their full trust and expectations.

We are confident that the Congress will continue to set forth correct strategic directions, consistent with the requirements of rapid and sustainable development of the country; at the same time, paying more attention to disadvantaged areas, especially border regions, creating momentum for localities to develop stably, maintaining territorial sovereignty and national border security.

Ia Púch is a border commune with 8.7 km of border shared with the Kingdom of Cambodia, holding a strategically important position in terms of national defense and security. However, the locality still faces many difficulties due to harsh natural conditions, a low economic starting point, underdeveloped infrastructure, and unsustainable livelihoods for its people.

Based on that experience, I hope that the documents submitted to the 14th National Congress will include long-term, comprehensive, and practical policies and solutions, prioritizing investment in essential infrastructure, supporting livelihoods, and developing production linked to local advantages.

At the same time, emphasis should be placed on training and developing grassroots officials, creating a foundation for people to feel secure in staying on their land, in their villages, and along the border, contributing to building a peaceful, stable, and sustainably developing border region.
