Before the holiday, accommodation establishments, restaurants, and hotels in the province have proactively upgraded the quality of services, ensuring they are ready to welcome tourists.

BHG - During the April 30 - May 1 holiday this year, workers will have 5 days off, and it is predicted that the number of tourists coming to Ha Giang during the holiday will increase. Before the holiday, accommodation establishments, restaurants, and hotels in the province have proactively upgraded the quality of services, ensuring they are ready to welcome tourists.

According to statistics from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province currently has more than 920 accommodation establishments with a total of nearly 8,500 accommodations, serving tens of thousands of visitors during peak times. During the April 30 - May 1, 2024 holiday, the province welcomed about 142,800 visitors, an increase of 13.5% over the same period last year. Total tourism revenue reached about 354.1 billion VND, room occupancy reached 75% to 80%, many accommodation establishments in the central area were fully booked early. It is forecasted that during this year's holiday, the number of visitors may continue to increase sharply. Destinations such as Lung Cu National Flagpole, Ma Pi Leng Pass, Dong Van Ancient Town, Nho Que River... all attract a large number of domestic and foreign tourists, room occupancy at many large hotels has reached over 90% since mid-April.

To meet the needs of tourists, many hotels, motels and homestays have proactively renovated and renewed their resort spaces, while investing in upgrading amenities such as air conditioning, water heaters, beds, wardrobes, wifi, etc. to improve service quality. Some establishments have cleverly combined modern elements with traditional highland culture in the layout, creating a sense of closeness, identity but still convenient and comfortable for tourists. At the same time, accommodation units have actively recruited and organized training for staff in communication skills and standard service. Fire and explosion prevention, preparation of basic medical supplies and epidemic prevention measures have also been seriously implemented by establishments.

As one of the typical 4-star hotels in the center of Ha Giang city, Yen Bien Luxury Hotel is always chosen by tourists as an ideal stopover, especially during long holidays. With a scale of 125 rooms, a maximum capacity of about 300 guests, up to now, the rooms at the hotel have basically been booked. From the beginning of April, preparations have been planned early, including reviewing and upgrading facilities, arranging adequate staff to serve at the reception, housekeeping, and kitchen departments; plans to ensure security, order, environmental sanitation, and food safety are also being implemented synchronously.

Not only central hotels, many homestays in famous tourist destinations in Yen Minh, Dong Van, Quan Ba, Meo Vac districts are also in a state of "no rooms available". Mr. Nguyen Cong Sy, owner of Pura - Homestay Yen Minh town shared: "Since the beginning of April, we have started receiving groups of guests booking rooms for the holidays. To prepare best, Pura has invested in renovating some common living spaces, adding essential items and retraining staff to ensure a friendly and professional service style. In addition, besides the resort space, we have prepared a menu of many highland specialties to serve tourists".
